The Russian military told about the destruction of underground Ukrainian Armed Forces outposts in Volchansk

On April 13, soldiers of the 116th brigade of the Russian National Guard told Izvestia about how they were disrupting the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkov direction, as well as the destruction of underground enemy outposts.

According to the military, the enemy has turned Volchansk into a real fortress. Russian artillery, with the support of drone operators, is destroying underground strongholds on this section of the contact line.

"We are working on dugouts, respectively, first we disassemble the bunker with caskets (shaped charges — Ed.), and then, accordingly, we throw something in there that can burn well," said a fighter of the Russian Guard with the call sign Kan.

At the moment, the northeastern part of the city is under Russian control. Rosgvardiya special forces are checking the houses and basements where the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants were hiding. They also disable enemy equipment as part of a counter-terrorism operation.

"The fighters are holding the line here. These dugouts are like mazes. A net is necessarily stretched, such a strong chain link to protect it from enemy drones," explains Alexey Poltoranin, a correspondent for Izvestia.

The Russian Guards also help to remotely mine the dugouts of the Ukrainian militants in order to prevent them from rotating and moving forward.

Earlier, on April 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the disruption of the rotation of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by tank crews of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces. During the operation, the soldiers eliminated the firing positions of the machine-gun crews of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with accurate shots.
