Military groups of troops "Zapad" eliminated more than 220 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a day

Military personnel of the Zapad group of Russian troops eliminated more than 220 militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) during the day, and also destroyed 34 control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and three Starlink satellite communication stations. This was announced on April 13 by the head of the press center of the Western Group of Forces, Ivan Bigma.

According to him, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation also managed to hit three enemy field ammunition depots, the Wartex electronic warfare station, an M113 armored personnel carrier, 10 mortar crews, an AN/TPQ-50 counter-battery radar, five vehicles and 18 aircraft-type drones.

In addition, Bigma reported that the Zapad group of forces managed to hit two mercenary foreign brigades of the enemy, which worked as part of a separate mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.

"Two assault groups of foreign mercenaries were discovered and destroyed in the Kupyansky district in a forest area," he told TASS.

Bigma also noted that the efforts of Russian military personnel inflicted fire damage on military equipment of units of three enemy mechanized and assault brigades and the AFU territorial defense brigade in the areas of Kamenka, Novy, Makeyevka, Kirovsk, Yampol Borovaya and Kupyansk.

These combat vehicles have proven their effectiveness during a special military operation.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the calculation of the Merlin UAV of the motorized rifle unit of the 25th combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces revealed an accumulation of camouflaged equipment and a control point for drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They transmitted the coordinates to the gunners, who destroyed the targets.
