- In China, people weighing less than 50 kg were advised not to go outside because of the wind.

Chinese authorities have advised people weighing less than 50 kg not to go outside due to the strong wind that hit Beijing. This was announced on Saturday, April 12, by the FTV News channel.
It is specified that the natural disaster struck the Chinese capital on April 11, which is why the orange weather danger level was declared in the city for the first time in the last 10 years. In particular, people weighing less than 50 kg were urged to refrain from going outside so that they would not be carried away by gusts of wind, the TV channel noted.
Due to the threat, people began to massively buy food and basic necessities in supermarkets, many tourist sites were closed to the public, some trains were suspended, and more than 400 flights were canceled at the airport, the publication says.
In September last year, the Xinhua news agency reported the evacuation of more than 570,000 people due to typhoon Yagi in China's Guangdong Province. It was clarified that after the typhoon made landfall, it developed into a level 17 super typhoon with a maximum wind speed of 234 km/h. The disaster brought heavy rainfall to most of the island, and heavy downpours to some towns and villages.
