Russian Semenov became the winner of the European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship.


Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Sergey Semenov became the European champion in the weight category up to 130 kg. The tournament takes place in Bratislava from April 7 to 13.
On April 12, an athlete from the Russian Federation met with Turkish wrestler Mohammed Hamza Bakir. Thanks to his victory, Semenov became a two-time European champion.
The bronze medal was awarded to Hungarian wrestler Dariusz Witek and German Yellow Kramer.
Russian Greco-Roman wrestler Emin Sefershaev won the European Championship on the same day. Sefershayev competed in the weight category up to 55 kg. In the final fight, he defeated Eldaniz Azizli from Azerbaijan.
