As a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the past two days, the bridge over the Obesta River in the Kursk region has been partially damaged. It is located 2 km from the border with Ukraine. Alexander Khinshtein, the acting head of the region, informed about this on April 12.

"Over the past two days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have attacked the bridge over the Obesta River several times in the village of Kozino in the Rylsky district, which is located 2 km from the border with Ukraine. As a result of the impact, the bridge received partial damage," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, residents of the village of Kozino have left their homes, but some people remain in the Settlement and the village of Riaza. As Khinstein noted, four citizens managed to be taken out. Two will be placed in temporary accommodation, while the others will be picked up by relatives.

On April 7, Khinstein reported that the authorities of the Kursk region had to do a lot of work to restore the border settlements liberated from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to him, the territory will be checked by sappers.
