The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack after the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of three energy facilities in the Kursk region. This was announced on April 12 in the press service of the department.

"The Main Military Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," the Telegram channel says.

According to the investigation, on April 10, 11 and 12, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked high-voltage lines with the help of drones. It is noted that as a result of the incident in the Oboyansky and Belovsky districts of the Kursk region, more than 19 thousand civilians were left without electricity.

The ministry added that those involved in the crime will be brought to justice.

Earlier, on April 10, the Investigative Committee opened a case of a terrorist attack after the shelling of an energy facility in the Kursk region. It was noted that on April 9, Ukrainian militants attacked the Kurskenergo high-voltage line using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a result, more than 600 consumers were left without electricity in Bolshesoldatsky district.
