The conflict in Ukraine has reached a critical moment. This opinion was expressed on April 12 by British Defense Minister John Healey at a meeting of the contact group on arms supplies to Kiev.

"2025 is a critical year for the <conflict> in Ukraine, and this is a critical moment," The Independent quoted him as saying.

Healy also called for increased military support for Ukraine.

Earlier, on April 10, The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that the United Kingdom was considering the possibility of deploying troops in Ukraine for a period of five years, which, as specified, was being discussed by London and other partners in the "coalition of the willing."

On March 17, the newspaper El Pais, citing about 30 Ukrainian military personnel, reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) believe that Kiev has already been defeated in the conflict with Russia.
