In Ukraine, it was reported about the beating of parishioners during the seizure of the UOC temple by schismatics

Representatives of the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), beating parishioners, seized the St. Nicholas Cathedral of the Canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), located in the village of Verkhniye Stanovtsy, Chernivtsi region. This was announced on April 12 by the Union of Orthodox Journalists (UOJ).

It is specified that the seizure was carried out earlier that day and organized with the help of the police.

"The militants broke down several spans of the church fence, broke into the territory, and, beating parishioners, rushed to the church. <...> OCU security forces <...> the doors of the temple were broken into," the newspaper notes.

According to the UOJ, after that, police officers entered the territory, they pushed people aside and made a living corridor through which representatives of the OCU entered the temple.

On April 9, the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) reported that schismatics had seized the Assumption Church of the UOC in the village of Starye Bezradichi in the Kiev region. It is specified that along with the raiders was the secretary of the Pereyaslav-Vishnevsky diocese of the OCU "abbot" Vikenty Kozak.
