NATO's efforts are now focused on preparing for a new confrontation, with Germany, France and the United Kingdom at the head of this. This statement was made on April 12 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, speaking at a diplomatic forum in Antalya.

"All the efforts of this Euro-Atlantic community are focused on preparing for a new order. Germany, together with France and Britain, are considered the leaders of this movement," he said, noting that these countries have succeeded only in fomenting tension and militarization.

At the same time, he stressed that the Euro-Atlantic structures had failed in ensuring security and stability.

The Russian Foreign Minister added that if you look at how the world is developing today, there are many sub-regional organizations: the Organization of Turkic States, the Eurasian Economic Union, ASEAN, SCO, and others, which proposed discussing possible options for the Eurasian security architecture.

The French newspaper Le Figaro, citing sources, reported on March 30 that senior officials in Europe were preparing for a possible confrontation with Russia. The publication quoted the words of a high-ranking French officer who believes that Europe needs to prepare for the worst, but without expectations of the outbreak of World War.
