Economist Sachs allowed the lifting of US sanctions against Russia

The negotiation process between Russia and the United States is moving towards the lifting of American sanctions against Russia. This was announced on April 12 by Jeffrey Sachs, an economist and professor at Columbia University.
"I think the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Russia can be very productive. There is hope. It definitely exists. I think that events are developing in the right direction towards the actual lifting of US sanctions against Russia," Sachs told TASS.
He also noted that he does not see a threat from the "tariff war" of the American leader Donald Trump, because he believes that this will not have a direct and strong impact on Russia.
The Reuters news agency reported on March 3 that the White House is studying plans for a possible lifting of sanctions against Russia. According to sources, the agencies are currently preparing a proposal to lift restrictions on certain legal entities and individuals so that US representatives can discuss it with their Russian counterparts in the coming days as part of negotiations to improve diplomatic and economic relations.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov recalled on March 4 that so far no one in the US administration has made official statements that Washington is going to lift sanctions against Moscow.
