Investigators have charged three Ukrainian soldiers who shelled the village of Olgovka in the Kursk region. This was reported on the website of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on April 12.

"The Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia has charged Igor Drebeda, Yevgeny Krayvanov and Mykola Shevchenko, servicemen of the 17th Tank Brigade of the armed formations of Ukraine, with committing a terrorist act (paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the statement said.

It is specified that the defendants illegally invaded the territory of Russia. They, following the orders of their commanders, shelled residential buildings in the village of Olgovka, where civilians were staying. As a result of their actions, at least four people were killed and civilian infrastructure was damaged.

The ministry added that at the moment, investigators are continuing to identify the participants who were involved in the shelling of civilians.

On April 11, a court sentenced two servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to 15 and 16 years in prison. They were found guilty of obstructing the evacuation of civilians in Sudzha, Kursk region. The defendants will serve their sentences for the first three years in prison, the rest in a high—security penal colony.
