Contact networks of railway tracks damaged in Kuban due to falling fragments of UAVs

In the Dinsky district of the Krasnodar Territory, debris from unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) damaged the contact network of railway tracks, as a result of which train traffic on the site was temporarily suspended. This was announced on April 12 by the press service of the regional operational headquarters.

"On the night of April 12, due to the fall of UAV fragments in the village of Vasyurinskaya in the Dinsky district, the contact network of railway tracks was damaged. <...> Train traffic on this section was temporarily suspended," the department said in a Telegram channel.

As of 07:00 Moscow time, one passenger train was delayed due to damage to the contact networks. It is specified that there are no casualties as a result of the incident. Special and emergency services personnel, as well as an emergency team of Russian Railways (RZD), are working on site.

On April 12, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the elimination of 36 Ukrainian UAVs in the skies over five regions of the Russian Federation by air defense systems. In particular, one aircraft-type drone was destroyed over the Krasnodar Territory.
