Military personnel and employees of some government agencies will receive higher salaries from October 1.

Starting from October 1, 2025, Russian military personnel and some government officials will receive a 1,045-fold salary increase. The relevant resolution was published on the official legal information portal on April 11.

"To increase from October 1, 2025 by 1,045 times: salaries for military positions and salaries for military ranks of military personnel undergoing military service under contract, salaries for military positions of military personnel undergoing conscription," the document says.

In addition, salaries will be increased for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), bodies of the penal enforcement system, Rosgvardiya, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN), as well as fire services and customs authorities and employees of some other bodies.

On March 6, it was reported that among the surveyed employers, 44% of companies reported that they plan to increase salaries for all employees in 2025. The rest of the respondents said that they would raise them only for certain categories: for specialists (24%), for workers (20%), for middle management (9%), for top management (6%).
