The calculation of the Hyacinth-S self-propelled gun destroyed the AFU stronghold in the special operation zone

A crew of 152 mm self-propelled artillery units (ACS) 2S5 "Hyacinth-S" of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed a stronghold, personnel and a cluster of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Svatovo-Kupyansk area of the special military operation zone. This was announced on April 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is noted that the coordinates of the targets were identified using reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), after which the Hyacinth-S crew promptly fired the gun at the coordinates obtained and destroyed the area where the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian militants were stationed.

At the same time, the shooting was adjusted in real time, which made it possible to destroy enemy targets with a minimum number of shots, the ministry said.

These combat vehicles have proven their effectiveness during a special military operation.

On April 11, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the calculation of the D-30 howitzer of the artillery unit of the motorized rifle brigade of the 25th Combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces eliminated camouflaged positions, an 82-millimeter mortar and enemy manpower in the SVO zone. After completing the combat mission, the gunners helped the Russian assault units advance.
