Reuters has learned about the US desire to gain control of the gas pipeline in Ukraine

During negotiations with a delegation from Ukraine on minerals, US representatives demanded that Kiev transfer the Gazprom gas pipeline, which runs through Ukraine to Europe, under American control. This was reported on April 11 by the Reuters news agency, citing sources.

"One of the Easter eggs in the document was the US demand that the International Finance Corporation for the Development of the US government take control of the gas pipeline from the Russian energy giant Gazprom," the agency's material says.

According to the sources of the publication, the negotiations between the representatives took place in a hostile atmosphere, as the American side put forward too voluminous demands.
