The D-30 calculation hit the strongholds with the manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk border region

The calculation of a 122-millimeter D-30 howitzer of the Tula Guards airborne unit destroyed the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with personnel in the Kursk border area. This was announced on April 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the enemy's positions were discovered during aerial reconnaissance. The exact coordinates of the targets were transferred to the gunners, who immediately deployed the gun and inflicted fire damage on the AFU militants with three accurate shots.

"The gun is good, 122 caliber, fairly accurate, a fairly large range of different projectiles, that is, it is possible to perform various tasks both to suppress manpower and to destroy equipment, to cover the advancing infantry with smoke shells, to destroy concentrations of enemy infantry in unprotected trenches. We are firing mainly high-explosive shells," said the gunner with the call sign Dritva.

Calculations work around the clock and in all weather conditions. They destroy armored vehicles, firepower, ammunition depots, fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a daily basis, and also help Russian assault groups by providing fire support, the department noted.
