Canadian film director and producer Ted Kotcheff, who directed such films as "Rambo. First Blood" and "Switching channels", died at the age of 95. This was reported on April 11 by the CTV News channel.

The publication says that the death of the director was announced by his daughter Kate Kotcheff. She clarified that her father died in the Mexican suburb of Puerto Vallarta while under sedation. The causes of death were not reported in the article.

Ted Kotcheff was born in 1931 in Canada. Throughout his career, which lasted about six decades, he created many paintings. In particular, Kotcheff directed the 1974 film The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz. He was particularly famous for the 1982 film "Rambo: First Blood," starring Sylvester Stallone.
