Russian film critic Yuri Ironing died


Former Izvestia film critic Yuri Ironing died at the age of 63. This was announced on April 11 by his daughter Anastasia Ironing.
"On April 7, my dad, film critic Yuri Ironing, died. He didn't want to invite anyone to the funeral, so my mother and I are only informing today," she wrote on the Telegram channel.
The relatives of the film critic did not inform about the causes of death. In just a few weeks, on April 28, he could celebrate his 64th birthday.
Yuri Ironing was born in 1961 in Krasnodar. The film critic hosted the program Kinopanorama, and for several years worked as a columnist for the newspaper Izvestia. He has been writing about cinema for more than 30 years, and his articles and reviews have been considered the standard of professional criticism. For his services to cinema, Ironing received the honorary medal of the Cannes Film Festival.
