The plane on which US President Donald Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, allegedly arrived in Russia on April 11 took off from Pulkovo Airport. This is confirmed by data from the Flightradar24 service.

According to him, an American aircraft of the same type as Witkoff's (Gulfstream G650ER) took off from St. Petersburg at 22:59 Moscow time.

The Russian president's meeting with Witkoff began in St. Petersburg earlier, on April 11. It lasted more than four hours, after which the Kremlin announced its completion. They also clarified that the topic of the talks was aspects of the Ukrainian settlement.

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, announced Witkoff's arrival in Russia earlier in the morning. The motorcade of the American guest appeared at the Grand Europe Hotel in St. Petersburg. After that, it became known that Witkoff, accompanied by Dmitriev, visited St. Isaac's Cathedral in the Northern capital.

As Peskov noted before the start of the negotiations, the meeting between Putin and Witkoff is a good opportunity to convey to Trump the point of view of the Russian side. The Kremlin representative also did not rule out that a conversation between Putin and Trump could take place following its results.
