Odessa police reported an explosion in an apartment building in the city

A grenade allegedly exploded in one of the residential buildings in the Peresypsky district of Odessa. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the city police.

"The police are investigating the circumstances of the explosion in the Peresypsky district of Odessa. <...> An investigative task force and explosives experts are currently working at the scene," the press service said.

It is specified that the detonation occurred in the apartment where the couple lives. According to preliminary police data, an acquaintance came to visit them, who for an unknown reason took a grenade out of his pocket and pulled the pin out of it.

As a result of the incident, the detonator himself and a married couple were injured. They were taken to a medical facility. Additional circumstances of the incident are being established.
