In Stavropol, attackers blew up an ATM with 4 million rubles in one of the shopping centers, and two suspects were detained. This was announced on April 11 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.
The incident occurred on the night of April 10th. There were 4 million rubles in the terminal, but the attackers failed to steal them "due to circumstances beyond their control," Volk said. Police officers promptly responded to the incident, tracked the route of the robbers and detained them.
"Using technical means, the operatives tracked the route of the car in which the attackers fled. One of the defendants was detained at a stationary traffic police post near the village of Kushchevskaya, and his accomplice was detained in the village of Solnechnodolsk," the representative said in a Telegram message.
She clarified that the attackers were taken to the city Department of Internal Affairs for investigative checks. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 4 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Theft").
On March 6, it was reported that an explosion occurred in a bank branch located in the Sviblovo shopping center in the northeast of Moscow. Then the prosecutor's office of the capital stated that, previously, due to the actions of an unknown person, the ATM was damaged. On the same day, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the region reported that police officers had detained a suspect in the bombing.
