The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, ended in St. Petersburg, the Izvestia correspondent reports.
The negotiations lasted more than four hours. They also discussed aspects of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
As Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, noted before the meeting, the meeting between Putin and Witkoff is a good opportunity to convey to Trump the point of view of the Russian side.
Peskov also did not rule out that a conversation between Putin and Trump could take place after the talks.
