A man died in a fire at a shopping mall in Ufa.

A man was killed in a fire at the Mir shopping center in Ufa, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported on January 11.

Firefighters, responding to a call about an incident on October Avenue, extinguished a fire in a residential building in the parking lot of a shopping center. The area was 1 sq. m.

"Unfortunately, a dead man was found at the scene of the fire. The identity is being established. An investigative task force and an investigator from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are working," the agency's Telegram channel says.

On April 4, the press service of the Bashkir Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that two people died as a result of a fire in an apartment building on Yakutova Street in Sterlitamak. The agency's specialists also rescued 32 people, including eight children. 30 specialists and eight pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
