What should an investor keep an eye on this week

Increased volatility will prevail on the stock exchanges this week, BCS World Investments stock market expert Anna Kokoreva expects. A second wave of decline is possible in global indices. However, it is difficult to say how long this will happen — it will depend on new statements about the increase in import duties between the United States and China or on the announcement of negotiations between the countries.
Interest in defensive assets and dividend stories will continue both in the Russian Federation and on foreign platforms, Anna Kokoreva believes.
On Monday, April 14, the Polyus gold mining company will hold an annual general meeting of the Board of Directors (AGM), the agenda of which includes approving dividends for 2024, Finam analysts said. Also on this day, the Board of Directors of developer Arenadat will decide on payments to shareholders, said Andrey Vanin, Head of Financial Market Analytics and Premium Services at Gazprombank Investments.
On April 15, the AGM to approve payments to investors over the past year will also be held by Yandex and developer LSR, said Natalia Pyrieva, a leading analyst at Cifra Broker.
On Wednesday, Bank Saint Petersburg will disclose RAS financial results for the first quarter of 2025, Andrey Vanin added. In addition, Rosstat will publish weekly data on the consumer price index, as well as on the producer price index for March 2025. This will give signals to the market regarding the Central Bank's decision on the key rate, which the regulator will take on April 25.
On Thursday, April 17, Avangrad Bank and Novatek gas production company will hold a meeting of the board of directors to approve dividends, Finam analysts added. AFK Sistema will disclose its results for the fourth quarter of 2024, Natalia Pyrieva noted.
April 18 is the last day on which investors can enter the register of shareholders of the World Trade Center entitled to receive dividends for 2024, concluded Anna Kokoreva.
The RGBI index may consolidate in the range of 107-109 points, showing a tendency to move towards the upper limit of the range, Natalia Pyrieva from Digit Broker expects. A recovery in the Moscow Exchange Index to 2,950 points is possible this week if oil bounces back and new geopolitical shocks do not occur, Finam analysts expect.
The euro exchange rate in the coming week will be in the range of 95-97 rubles, the dollar — 84-86 rubles, the yuan — 11.20–11.40 rubles, predicted Anna Kokoreva from BCS World of Investments.
