- The Central Bank warned about the scheme of stealing money through false investments in the digital ruble

Fraudsters began to extort money from Russians under the pretext of a non-existent digital ruble investment program. This was announced on April 11 by the Central Bank of Russia.
"They create websites in corporate colors and with the digital ruble logo. Scammers call such online resources the investment program of the digital ruble of the Bank of Russia. On the website, the visitor is greeted by a "personal manager" who persuades him to deposit the amount," the regulator's website says.
They said that the person was being agitated to join the supposedly existing program as soon as possible and emphasized that the starting amount would increase significantly in the future. Further, by persuasion, a person is forced to deposit as much money as possible into an account on a fake site.
On April 9, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that fraudsters began to extort money from Russians under the pretext of paying customs duties. It is specified that this method is used on marketplaces or when trading through numerous telegram channels.
