Erdogan called the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine a priority for Turkey

The early settlement of the conflict in Ukraine through the conclusion of a just and lasting peace agreement is a priority for Turkey. This was stated on 11 by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
"We strive to create a belt of peace and security around our country by establishing good relations with our neighbors, expanding opportunities for cooperation and trade, as well as building bridges of dialogue between the conflicting parties," TRT Haber TV channel quoted him as saying.
Erdogan also expressed the hope that Turkey will be able to maintain a balanced and at the same time active position, which it has adhered to since the first day of the Ukrainian conflict.
Earlier, on March 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Erdogan. The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Moscow and Ankara, as well as issues on the regional and global agenda, including the conflict in Ukraine. During the conversation, the Turkish leader noted the positive impact of the Black Sea initiative of the Russian Federation and the United States on the course of the peace settlement and stressed Ankara's intention to continue efforts to ensure calm in this area.
