Witkoff met with the Chief Rabbi of St. Petersburg

US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, met with the Chief Rabbi of St. Petersburg, Menachem-Mendel Pevsner, and the chairman of the Jewish community of the city, Mark Grubarg. On April 11, Izvestia was informed about this by the press service of the Great Choral Synagogue of St. Petersburg.

It is noted that the meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The visit took place on the eve of Passover, one of the main holidays in the Jewish calendar.

"The chairman of the community had a conversation with Mr. Witkof about the weekly chapter of the Tsav Torah and invited him to 'stay for a day if possible and celebrate the Passover seder with the Jewish community,'— the statement said.
