- Erdogan declared the impossibility of peace without the creation of the State of Palestine

Peace in the Middle East is impossible without the establishment of an independent Palestinian State. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
"Peace in the Middle East is possible only on the basis of a two-State solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue. It depends on the creation of a free, sovereign and territorial Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital within the 1967 borders," TRT Haber TV channel quoted Erdogan as saying.
The Turkish President also called on all members of the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), to take responsibility, "stop the bloodshed and support the Palestinian people."
"Another point that needs to be emphasized is that Israel is turning into a problematic country that directly threatens the stability of the region, especially with its attacks on Lebanon and Syria," Erdogan added.
On April 11, Philippe Lazarini, Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said that the only alternative to the agency's activities was the creation of a full-fledged Palestinian state. The head of UNRWA stressed that a solution to the Palestinian issue is necessary to end violence and achieve stability in the region.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on April 9 that the country could recognize the state of Palestine this summer. According to him, in June France could finalize the movement for mutual recognition of Palestine by several countries.
