An employee of a military construction company has been arrested in a fraud case.


The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow has arrested the head of the construction department for the Central Federal District (CFD) of the public law company Military Construction Company on suspicion of accepting bribes and fraud on an especially large scale. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.
"By a decision of the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow, the investigator's request for a preventive measure in the form of detention against Ivanov Matvey Maratovich for crimes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was granted for a period of 1 month and 17 days," the judicial press service said in a Telegram channel.services.
According to the department, the court refused to satisfy the petition of the defenders of the defendant to choose a preventive measure that is not related to imprisonment.
Earlier, on April 3, the head of the Vidyaevo district in the Murmansk region was detained in a case of receiving a particularly large bribe. According to the investigation, in 2024, the defendant helped to conclude a contract for the needs of the municipality in Vidyaevo with the director of a commercial company for illegal remuneration exceeding 15 million rubles. From November last year to February this year, the man received part of a bribe in the amount of about 1.8 million rubles. The head of the city was given a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of two months.
