On April 11, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expressed surprise at the information that the Bundeswehr weapons sent to Ukraine have a number of serious drawbacks.

In particular, as noted by the German broadcaster RND, the Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery unit fails quite often, and the repair of the Leopard tank is too expensive. At the same time, it is usually impossible to repair such equipment right at the front, the journalists said.

"I was surprised to receive these messages because we are in constant contact with our Ukrainian partners," Pistorius was quoted as saying by RND.

At the same time, the minister noted that individual devices may fail or stop working after three years of active combat use. He promised to discuss this situation with his Ukrainian counterpart.

On February 28, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexandra Ustinova reported that two thirds of the military equipment that Kiev receives from partners turns out to be unusable. She stressed that the equipment provided by the American and European armies is often in poor condition.
