A woman who stoned a man to death was detained 40 years later.

In the Volgograd region, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Inter-municipal Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Kamyshinsky" detained a woman who had been wanted for more than 40 years on suspicion of murder. This was announced on April 11 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk in her Telegram channel.

The incident occurred in the spring of 1984 in the village of Yelshanka, Kamyshinsky district, Volgograd region. During the feast, a conflict broke out between the participants, as a result of which one of the men received a fatal gunshot wound. A 20-year-old relative of the deceased, who witnessed the tragedy, grabbed a stone and struck several blows to the head of the shooter. A 27-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries.

After the incident, the woman disappeared and was put on the wanted list. All these years, she lived under false names in different regions of Russia, using forged documents.

The 60-year-old suspect has now been detained and handed over to the investigative authorities for further investigation.

Earlier, on April 7, the court arrested a suspect in the murder of four people in the village of Lipnaya Gorka, Leningrad region. On April 6, it was reported that a man living in the village of Lipnaya Gorka, while intoxicated, killed three people and injured another. The conflict occurred between the pensioner and his stepson. Subsequently, the Investigative Committee for the region reported the discovery of the fourth victim.
