The director of the district hospital in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, Sergei Demus, was thrown into a trash can during protests against his decision to close the neurological department. This was announced on April 11 by the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian online publication "Страна.иа ".

"Residents rallied against the reorganization of the neurological department and the dismissal of employees," the report says.

About 100 people attended the rally. During the protest, two men in military uniforms approached the hospital director and pushed him into a trash can. The police officers who came up helped him to get out.

It is clarified that after the incident, Demus canceled his decree on the reorganization of the department.

On March 25 in Kiev, two men broke the window of the reception room of a deputy of the regional City Council and threw a molotov cocktail. Violators can face up to 10 years in prison for their actions.
