A court has sentenced a man accused of murdering a girl who was thrown out of her own car in Samara in 2023 to 24 years and 11 months in a high-security penal colony. This was announced on April 11 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
"To impose a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 24 years and 11 months with serving a sentence in a high-security penal colony with restriction of liberty for a period of two years," the judge announced.
On July 3, 2023, a girl born in 1989 was thrown out of a car on Vodnikov Street with her throat slit. According to eyewitness Egor Belyaev, she was still alive at that moment. The young man felt for a pulse, passers-by and medics tried to bring the victim to consciousness, but they could not save her.
The attacker abandoned the car in another part of the city and left the Samara region. Soon, the suspect, a 21-year-old man, was detained in Kazan. As it turned out, the car belonged to the victim, and the detainee was her potential buyer. Investigators opened a criminal case, the man did not admit his guilt.
