The institutions of the European Union (EU), as well as the head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, are not involved in planning the possible deployment of troops to Ukraine as part of the so-called "coalition of the willing" mission after a peaceful settlement. This was announced on April 11 by British Defense Minister John Healey at a meeting of the contact group on arms supplies to Kiev.

"Kaya Kallas is an excellent European leader, but the EU is not involved in planning as part of a coalition of willing parties," he said in a speech broadcast on the Sky News YouTube channel.

At the same time, Healy clarified that the deployment of a military contingent to Ukrainian territory is in an "advanced phase," adds "Газета.Ru ".

The day before, Callas said that the EU and NATO countries, in the format of a "coalition of the willing," were studying the need to send troops to Ukraine for a "monitoring mission." She noted that the discussion on this issue continues and a number of countries are ready to participate in the military mission, while others refuse.

On the same day, The Daily Telegraph reported that Britain was considering the possibility of deploying troops in Ukraine for a period of five years, which, as specified, was being discussed by London and other partners in the "coalition of the willing."
