In Muuga Bay, near the island of Aenga, the Estonian Defense Forces detained the tanker Kiwala, which was heading to Russia. This was reported by the Postimees newspaper on April 11.

"He was heading to the Russian port of Ust-Luga along the territorial waters of Estonia. Ships of the Estonian navy are located next to it right now," the article clarifies.

At a press conference of the Ministry of Defense, the Commander of the Estonian Navy, Commodore Ivo Vark, explained that the purpose of the detention was to check the documents and legal status of the vessel.

On March 21, German customs confiscated the tanker Eventin, which lost control, along with almost 100 thousand tons of oil on board. Initially, the tanker was heading north from the island of Ryugen.
