Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that the Russian Armed Forces carried out eight group strikes with high-precision long-range weapons and attack drones, which affected the infrastructure of military airfields.

In addition, attacks were carried out on assembly shops, drone storage sites, ammunition depots, enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

"Units of three mechanized, two motorized infantry brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and three air defense brigades were defeated in the Kharkov and Belgorod directions," the Defense Ministry said.

During the week, air defense systems shot down 1,200 aircraft-type drones, as well as 27 JDAM guided aerial bombs and 19 American-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers.

In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 601 anti-aircraft missile systems, 660 aircraft, 50,974 unmanned aerial vehicles, 33,965 units of special military vehicles, 22,796 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,534 multiple rocket launchers, 283 helicopters and 23,471 field artillery and mortars have been destroyed.
