Blinken spoke about the conflicts between Biden and Zelensky
The administration of former US President Joe Biden had conflicts with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky, but this was not made public. Former US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this in an interview with CNBC on April 11.
"Did we sometimes have disagreements with our Ukrainian friends, including President Zelensky? Of course," Blinken said, commenting on Zelensky's altercation with US President Donald Trump in the oval office.
According to Blinken, the conflicts with Zelensky were not brought out to the public.
During the meeting between Trump and Zelensky in the Oval Office on February 28, a verbal altercation took place. The US president accused the Ukrainian leader of disrespecting Washington. According to him, the head of the Kiev regime is "playing with the third world war" and is not ready to resolve the conflict.
On March 4, Zelensky phoned British Prime Minister Keir Starmer before posting on the social network X (ex. Twitter) a statement of regret about the conflict with the American leader. During the telephone conversation, the British Prime Minister told the Ukrainian president about his call to Trump and stated that the work of all parties on a lasting and long-term settlement of the crisis in Ukraine is absolutely necessary.
