Starting from Sunday, April 13, atmospheric pressure will begin to rise in Moscow. It will reach maximum values by April 16. However, it cannot be called record-breaking. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told Izvestia about this on April 11.

According to him, it is not necessary to attach great importance to an increase in atmospheric pressure — such fluctuations are the norm for the middle part of Russia.

"I would not say that it is some kind of record, some kind of anomaly. This is only slightly higher than the normal pressure values," the expert noted.

He specified that the gradual growth will begin on April 13, adding 2-4 mm each.

"In the middle of the week, it exceeds the norm by about 8-10 mmHg. But this is normal for the weather changes that are expected this week — there will be a change from cyclonic circulation to anticyclonic and, consequently, an increase in pressure," explained Shuvalov.

According to him, by April 16, atmospheric pressure will reach 754-756 mmHg, exceeding the norm by 9 mm.

However, the expert noted that the most important event of the next week is the return of spring weather to Moscow and the Moscow region. The snow will melt, and the temperature will rise to 15-20 degrees.

Earlier, on April 11, analysts of the Yandex Weather service told Izvestia about the weather that awaits Muscovites on the weekend of April 12 and 13. According to the service, mostly cloudy weather is expected. On Saturday, forecasters predict light snow in the afternoon, but no precipitation is expected on Sunday.
