On April 11, the Supreme Court of the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR) handed down a verdict in the criminal case against 39-year-old Anna Bazikalo, who was found guilty of espionage and illegal possession of explosives. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

According to the agency, in March and September 2023, a citizen of Ukraine, Bazikalo, was collecting information about the locations of Russian military personnel in the territory of the LPR. She transmitted this data to the Ukrainian special services via an online messenger. It was also established that Bazikalo had illegally acquired and stored explosives at her home in Luhansk.

The court agreed with the position of the public prosecutor and sentenced Bazikalo to 8 years in prison to serve his sentence in a correctional colony of the general regime.

Earlier, on April 10, it was reported that two men were sentenced to 19 and 25 years for preparing a terrorist attack in the Voronezh region. It is specified that the criminals will serve the first four years of imprisonment in prison, the rest of the term in a high—security colony.
