A minor resident of the Orel region, born in 2007, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for setting fire to a relay cabinet on the instructions of the special services of Ukraine. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

"According to the totality of the crimes, he was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison to be served in an educational colony," the regional FSB said in a statement, quoted by TASS.

It is clarified that the young man acted on the instructions of curators from the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. After receiving the assignment in February 2024, he sabotaged a railway facility by setting fire to a relay cabinet for a monetary reward.

A criminal case was opened against him under Article 275 of the Criminal Code ("High treason") and Part 2 of Article 281 of the Criminal Code ("Sabotage").

On March 18, the FSB of Russia reported that a resident of the Orel region, accused of high treason, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The accused transferred money to support Ukrainian terrorist groups. These funds were used to purchase drones, weapons, ammunition and tactical equipment.
