Aviation lawyer named the possible cause of the helicopter crash near New York

A helicopter crash into the Hudson River in Jersey City, near New York, could have been caused by a rotor that damaged the tail boom. This was reported on April 11 by the Associated Press (AP), citing Justin Green, an aviation lawyer and former helicopter pilot.
"It is possible that the main rotor of the helicopter touched the tail boom, breaking it into pieces, and led to a fall," the newspaper quoted Green as saying.
In addition, the expert called the incident a "catastrophic mechanical failure" that left the pilot with no chance to save the helicopter.
Earlier, on April 10, CBC News reported a helicopter crash into the Hudson River in Jersey City. The crash occurred at about 15:15 (22:15 Moscow time). Later, the AP news agency, citing officials, announced that six people died as a result of the helicopter crash. The victims were the head of the Spanish branch of the global technology company Siemens, Agustin Escobar, and his family — his wife and three children. The pilot died with them.
