German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that in the coming years Berlin will increase the supply of military aid to Kiev. He stated this on April 11 at a meeting of the contact group on arms supplies to Ukraine at Ramstein airbase in Germany.

"This is part of medium- and long—term planning," Pistorius clarified during the broadcast, which was broadcast on the Sky News YouTube channel.

He said that Germany plans to provide Ukraine with additional IRIS-T air defense systems and more than 1.1 thousand ground surveillance radar systems.

The German Defense minister added that this year Kiev will receive from Berlin four IRIS-T systems, 300 guided missiles and 100 radars. In addition, the aid package will include 15 Leopard 1A5 tanks, 300 reconnaissance drones, 25 Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 14 artillery pieces, and about 100,000 artillery shells.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock said on April 1 that the country would provide Ukraine with more than €11 billion in military aid up to and including 2029. In addition, on March 26, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris would provide additional €2 billion in military aid to Kiev.

On March 2, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov drew attention to the fact that European countries do not want the conflict in Ukraine to end and demand "the continuation of the banquet."
