This year, about 5 billion rubles of state support are provided for farmers in new regions. This was announced on April 11 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev during a working trip to the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR).

"As part of the sowing campaign in Novorossiya and Donbas, 200,000 hectares have already been sown with spring crops and 1.6 million hectares with winter crops. Our agricultural producers are provided with all the necessary material and technical resources. About 5 billion rubles are provided for these regions as part of state support for farmers, including the food and processing industry. This is significant money that allows them to feel quite confident. We really hope for a decent sowing and harvest at the end," he said.

Patrushev said that since last year, meat processing enterprises in the new regions have received subsidies of 20% to support the processing of raw meat into food products. This year, 401.4 million rubles have been allocated from the federal budget for these purposes.
