Lavrov: prisoner exchange between Russia and the United States helps build trust

On April 10, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that both sides had initiated the latest prisoner exchange between Russia and the United States.
According to him, such steps contribute to building trust, but it will take time to fully restore mutual understanding.
The Foreign Minister added that Russia considers it realistic and necessary to aim at normalizing relations with Washington.
He also stressed that contacts with the team of US President Donald Trump showed an understanding of the need for dialogue, and "this approach is quite realistic."
