A ban on visiting forests has been introduced in the Kurgan region from April 12 to May 2 due to the risk of fires. The regional government announced this on April 11.

"During this period, citizens are not allowed to stay on the territories of the forest fund lands, vehicles are prohibited from entering the forests," the Telegram channel said.

According to the regional government, fines are provided for violating this ban: for citizens — from 40 thousand to 50 thousand rubles, for legal entities — from 600 thousand to 1 million rubles, and for officials — from 60 thousand to 90 thousand rubles.

On April 8, 12 forest fires were recorded in Buryatia on an area of over 1.1 thousand hectares. The cause of the fire was the transfer of fire from other categories of land and careless handling of fire. 337 people are involved in extinguishing fires, 73 units of forest fire fighting equipment are involved.
