Lavrov attended the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers in Alma Ata

On April 11, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov took part in a meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers in Alma Ata.

The meeting was held in a narrow format. The leaders of the delegations took a photo together against the background of national flags.

Before the meeting, the foreign ministers were greeted with a handshake by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu.

Lavrov arrived in Alma Ata on April 9. The next day, the minister met with Nurtleu and stated that preparations for the establishment of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Aktau had reached the finish line.
