"Elon is not needed for anything [I don't need], except that I just like this person. And I assure you, this guy did a fantastic job," Trump said during the meeting, which was broadcast by Fox News.

He also praised Musk for the cars produced by his company Tesla. The head of the US administration admitted that he bought one car at the "maximum price", despite the lack of need for it, and now lets his employees ride it.

The Axios portal reported on April 10 about the plans of a group of 77 Democrats of the US House of Representatives to achieve the removal of Musk from the Trump administration by May 30.
