Trump said there was no need for a mask.

US President Donald Trump admitted that he did not need the head of the Department of state Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, but added that he had done a fantastic job. The American leader said this on Thursday, April 10, during a cabinet meeting at the White House.
"Elon is not needed for anything [I don't need], except that I just like this person. And I assure you, this guy did a fantastic job," Trump said during the meeting, which was broadcast by Fox News.
He also praised Musk for the cars produced by his company Tesla. The head of the US administration admitted that he bought one car at the "maximum price", despite the lack of need for it, and now lets his employees ride it.
The Axios portal reported on April 10 about the plans of a group of 77 Democrats of the US House of Representatives to achieve the removal of Musk from the Trump administration by May 30. They argued for this decision with the legal requirement that special government employees — this is exactly the status Musk has as the head of DOGE — cannot hold office for more than 130 days.
In 2024, Musk actively supported Trump's candidacy for president of the United States, speaking for him at rallies. In early January, Musk spoke about the importance of Trump's election victory for the future of civilization. In his opinion, if the Republican had not won this election, civilization would have been lost.
Later, on January 20, the President of the United States signed a decree on the creation of the Department of government efficiency, the head of which appointed an American entrepreneur. It was reported that among the main goals of the new structure is the optimization of government spending, as well as updating federal software to levels accepted in the private sector.
