Traveler Morozov told about Ecuador's refusal to let Russians into the country

Russian blogger and traveler Alexander Morozov, who traveled to 86 countries during his round-the-world trip, was unable to enter the South American country due to the decision of the authorities of the Republic of Ecuador. He told Izvestia about this on April 11.
"They refused entry, gave us a piece of paper that we had violated something, although we had not violated anything. Therefore, we stayed in Ecuador for exactly two and a half hours," Morozov said.
The traveler called what was happening "political arbitrariness" and pointed out that after unsuccessful attempts to enter Ecuador, he went to Chile to continue his journey from Santiago. Despite his efforts, the Russian ambassador to Ecuador was unable to help Morozov or other Russian tourists. The traveler called the restrictions imposed by the authorities of the South American country "idiotic."
In addition, Morozov told the details of his round-the-world expedition. He noted that this was his second such trip, made on a domestic UAZ car known as the loaf.
"86 countries have been visited so far. Probably, after Chile, I will send the car to another continent, where I will continue my journey through Eurasia. We plan to travel through Mongolia, the Silk Road, through China and Southeast Asia and our Central Asia. I want to bring the number of countries to 100," said the Russian.
On April 10, the Russian Embassy in Ecuador appealed to the country's Foreign Ministry with a request to lift the bans on Russians entering the territory of the republic. According to diplomats, nine such cases are currently known to have occurred between April 6 and 10 this year.
