In order to retire in 2025 in the most profitable way, a working pensioner must take into account the time factor when leaving work. This was announced on February 11 by State Duma Deputy Alexei Govyrin.

According to him, the recalculation of payments between the working and non-working pensioner statuses continues to be taken into account by the pension system in 2025. When a person leaves work, all missed indexations are automatically restored to them, which can positively affect the amount of payments. At the same time, the Social Fund relies on data from the employer when it records the fact of dismissal.

"This means that the moment of dismissal affects not only the amount of the future pension, but also the date on which it will begin to be paid in a new amount. Dismissal in the last days of the month is considered the most rational, since then the recalculation will begin on the first day of the next month. Having quit, for example, on June 30, a pensioner will receive an increased pension starting from July 1," the deputy said in an interview with TASS.

He noted that if the date is not taken into account, the waiting time for recalculation may be delayed and begin only a month after the dismissal.

In addition, Govyrin added that sometimes pensioners continued their work after retirement for five years or more, and after they were fired they received a pension increase of 10-12 thousand rubles.

The deputy also drew attention to the fact that when retiring, it is also necessary to take into account the calendar break in order not to be refused recalculation. Govyrin also said that if a pensioner wants to return to work, he should not fear for the loss of an increased pension.

On April 9, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab pointed out the possibility of significantly increasing payments upon retirement. According to her, Russians sometimes make a mistake when they don't explore alternative options. So, the deputy stated that in five years of work, you can increase your pension by 40% if you do not receive it during this period.
