The calculation of the D-30 howitzer of the artillery unit of the motorized rifle brigade of the 25th combined arms army of the Zapad group of forces eliminated camouflaged positions, an 82-millimeter mortar and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special military operation (SVO). This was announced on April 11 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

After completing the combat mission, the gunners helped the Russian assault units advance and occupy more advantageous positions in their area. At the same time, the military personnel of the Western Group of Forces do not stop there, continuing to destroy all identified targets, the department noted.

"They [the Ukrainian Armed Forces] are dirty, they can't get in. We're lucky. Of course it's scary. You can't get used to it, you've learned to deal with fear. The experience we have gained here allows us to assess the situation," said the commander of the control platoon with the call sign Cowboy.

The gunners carry out precise strikes on uncovered military installations, positions, fortifications, military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine around the clock. In addition, they conduct concentrated and stationary barrage fire at the enemy, firing at a maximum range of 15 km.

The ministry drew attention to the fact that military personnel have to work daily in various conditions, but thanks to the preparation, calculations take only a few minutes from getting a target to firing a shot.
